The GlenDronach 18 Year Old Allardice 2021 Bottling is a richly sherried Highland single malt matured exclusively in Spanish Oloroso sherry casks and bottled at 46% ABV.
Named in honour of James Allardice, the founder of The GlenDronach Distillery, the 18 Year Old Allardice has become one of the distillery's most recognised expressions, celebrated for its deep fruit, dark chocolate and mature Oloroso-driven character.
This 2021 bottling is presented at natural colour and without chill filtration, preserving the full-bodied texture and rich sherry character for which classic GlenDronach releases are renowned.
Tasting Notes
Nose:
Rich fruit compote, Morello cherries and dried fruits layered with fudge, Muscovado sugar and mature Oloroso sherry.
Palate:
Full-bodied and deeply sherried, with stewed fruits, toasted walnuts, dark chocolate, orange peel and warming allspice.
Finish:
Long and rich, with lingering dried fruit, dark chocolate, roasted nuts, spice and mature oak.
