Kanosuke Peated is a core-range single malt whisky from Kanosuke Distillery in Kagoshima. It is made using peated malt and matured in a combination of re-charred ex-shochu casks and ex-bourbon barrels.
This cask combination maintains a strong connection to Kanosuke’s shochu heritage, while introducing a more noticeable smoky character to the whisky.
It is well suited to drinkers who enjoy a more restrained and balanced style of Japanese peat rather than an intensely smoky profile.
