Kanosuke Hioki Pot Still Limited Edition 2024 is a distinctive Japanese whisky produced at Hioki Distillery using a combination of malted barley and locally sourced Japanese unmalted barley.
The spirit is distilled in unique stainless steel pot stills operated under vacuum pressure, giving the whisky its distinctive character.
After distillation, the whisky is matured at Kanosuke Distillery in a combination of new American white oak casks, ex-Bourbon barrels and re-charred ex-shochu casks, adding depth and complexity to the final profile.
Tasting Notes
Nose:
Crème brûlée, new oak, apricots and fresh plums.
Palate:
Vanilla, caramel sauce, charred oak, cocoa and matcha green tea.
Finish:
Oily in texture, with a rich and lingering note of intense dark chocolate.
