The nose opens with sweet notes of fudge, muscovado sugar, stewed fruits, and dark cherry, followed by layers of spice, toasted nuts, and old sherry cask character. On the palate, it is rich, dark, and elegant, offering flavours of fruit compote, allspice, walnut bread, dark chocolate, and chocolate orange. The finish is long, warming, and beautifully sherried.
