Part of GlenAllachie’s Virgin Oak Series, this 10 Year Old single malt explores the influence of Spanish oak (Quercus Robur) sourced from the Cantabrian Mountains of Galicia and Asturias. After initial maturation in American oak ex-bourbon barrels, the whisky undergoes an 18-month secondary maturation in virgin Spanish oak casks, intensifying its richness, spice, and complexity.
The air-dried casks, seasoned for 18 months in the region’s cool, humid climate, allow the wood to impart deep layers of flavour, resulting in a bold and oak-driven whisky with a distinctly Iberian character.
