Deanston 17 Year Old Orange Wine Cask Finish is a distinctive Highland single malt that showcases the distillery’s adventurous side. After long maturation, this whisky spent its final three years in Vino de Naranja casks from Spain, adding an unusual layer of citrus richness and warming spice to Deanston’s naturally honeyed spirit.

Bottled at a robust 53.6% ABV, this limited release offers a bold and expressive profile, balancing ripe fruit, marmalade sweetness, ginger spice and oak. The influence of the orange fortified wine casks brings a bittersweet depth that sets it apart from more traditional sherry or bourbon matured expressions.

On the nose, expect semi-ripe apricots, light honey and warming ginger. The palate opens with ginger snaps, peel-rich marmalade, honey and spice, before developing into notes of orange cake and seasoned oak. The finish is long, warming and gently bittersweet.

With around 7,000 bottles released worldwide, and now sold out at the distillery, this is a compelling limited edition for drinkers looking to explore a more unconventional side of mature Highland single malt.
