Bruichladdich Octomore 16.3 Single Malt Whisky 61.6% ABv 700ml

Octomore 16.3 is a cask-strength, super-peated Islay single malt (700ml, 61.6% ABV) made from 100% Islay-grown Concerto barley from Octomore Farm. Peated to an extreme 274 PPM, it’s matured entirely on Islay in first-fill bourbon, second-fill wine, and virgin oak casks. Natural colour and non-chill filtered.

Tasting Notes

• Nose: Sweet earthy peat, honeyed malt, orchard fruit, vanilla, toasted oak, coastal breeze

• Palate: Huge peat, toffee, citrus lift, oak spice, sea salt; powerful but controlled

• Finish: Long, smoky, warming—charred oak and maritime salinity with a final sweetness

Best for: peat-heads, collectors, serious tasting flights.
Serve: neat first, then 1–2 drops of water to open citrus and oak.
