Bowmore 15 Year Old is a rich and beautifully balanced Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, combining Bowmore’s signature coastal peat smoke with the deep fruit and sweetness of Oloroso Sherry cask maturation.
Bowmore 15 Year Old is initially matured in a combination of bourbon and Sherry casks, before spending its final three years in Oloroso Sherry casks. This finishing period adds exceptional depth and richness, creating layers of dark fruit, chocolate, treacle toffee and warming spice alongside Bowmore’s characteristic smoky profile.
The result is a full-flavoured yet refined single malt, with a rich colour, generous Sherry influence and a lingering smoky finish.
Tasting Notes
Nose:
Dark chocolate, cherry, caramel fudge and stewed raisins, accompanied by gentle bonfire smoke.
Palate:
Rich dark fruits including cherries, figs and plums, followed by raisins, sultanas, treacle toffee, toasted oak and soft warming spices.
Finish:
Long and warming, with lingering dried fruit, rich Sherry notes and elegant peat smoke.
