Introducing the Ardnamurchan 10 Year Old – 2025 Release (First Batch), the very first edition of what is set to become an annual limited release from the distillery.

This inaugural 10-year-old marks an important milestone for Ardnamurchan. While it is not yet part of the permanent core range, the distillery plans to release it yearly in limited quantities, gradually increasing volume as more stock becomes available. This mirrors the journey of Ardnamurchan’s original Single Malt, first released in 2020, which grew in consistency and recognition over time.

Bottled at 46.8% ABV, this release is non-chill filtered and presented in natural colour, preserving maximum texture, character, and flavour integrity.

Cask Composition

Crafted primarily from Bourbon barrel matured spirit (98%), with a subtle touch of Sherry casks (2%) to add depth and richness. The spirit is beautifully balanced between unpeated (52%) and peated (48%), delivering creamy sweetness, coastal freshness, and a gentle, measured smoke.

Expect a whisky that combines vanilla and clean bourbon sweetness with a hint of sherry influence and a refined smoky edge—harmonious, maritime, and confidently mature.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Coconut, oat biscuits, and zesty orange peel, layered with salty sea air, bonfire leaves, strawberry laces, and a hint of mint.
Palate: Rich and creamy—custard creams, vanilla wafers, brine, earthy smoke, and warming depth.
Finish: Long and lingering, with smoky maritime warmth and an elegant coastal fade.
