This third release in Highland Park’s acclaimed Cask Strength series is bottled straight from the cask, with no added water, showcasing the series’ signature depth, complexity, and impeccable balance of flavours.

Crafted from a skillfully balanced combination of cask types – including first-fill sherry seasoned American and European oak casks, along with a smaller proportion of refill casks – Release No. 3 features a higher ratio of Orkney peated malt, delivering an intensely smoky profile.

On the nose, expect aromas of smouldering peat and lightly charred oak, lifted by honey-glazed lemon and crushed aniseed. The palate evolves with layers of ripe mango, cloudy heather honey, whipped vanilla cream, and a floral hint of aromatic violet. Adding a splash of water reveals further nuances of pink grapefruit zest, soft sponge cake, and a lingering wave of heathery peat smoke.
