Crafted in the heart of Speyside since 1897, Tamdhu remains the only Scotch whisky distillery to exclusively mature its spirit in Oloroso sherry casks. This special release, Quercus Alba Distinction, is named after the American white oak species (Quercus Alba), sourced from the forests of Northern America.

The oak is harvested, seasoned, and shipped to Spain, where it is transformed into casks within the famed “sherry triangle.” Over six years, the staves are air-dried under the Mediterranean sun, carefully assembled, toasted, and finally seasoned with rich Oloroso sherry. Once ready, these casks journey to Tamdhu, where the distillery’s vibrant new-make spirit matures within them, developing deep, rich, and fruity character.
