Crafted at the lesser-known yet innovative Kininvie Distillery, this 17-year-old single malt represents a rare glimpse into one of Speyside's hidden gems. Established in 1990 by William Grant & Sons—the powerhouse behind Glenfiddich and Balvenie—Kininvie operates independently but shares some facilities with Balvenie, such as maltings. However, its mashing process and fermentation are distinct, resulting in a uniquely floral spirit.

Kininvie's stills bear resemblance to those at Glenfiddich, though the larger wash stills contribute to its elegant and delicate profile. Much of its output forms the foundation for Monkey Shoulder blended malt, but on rare occasions, single malts like this are released—originally developed for travel retail.

Batch 1 has been patiently matured in a combination of American oak ex-Bourbon and ex-Sherry casks, then bottled at 42.6% ABV in a compact 350ml format, perfect for collectors and connoisseurs alike.

Nose: Bright citrus zest, layered with delicate cured meats and soft honeyed undertones.
Palate: Silky honey sweetness evolves into floral notes and rich malted barley, balanced with a touch of black pepper and nutmeg spice.
